INTERIOR MINISTER MEETS LOCAL BUSINESSMEN
Touching upon the tasks on the entrepreneurship development set by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev before all governmental structures including law interior bodies, colonel-general Ramil Usubov stressed considerable work had been doing in this sphere. Among the measures to eliminate the obstacles impeding the development of entrepreneurship, he pointed out the abolition of the Department on Fight against Economic Crimes, reduction of the staff of traffic police officers by 15% and others. As a result, the number of illegal interferences in private sector has dramatically decreased, and no such facts have been revealed for the last 3 years, the Minister said.
Minister Ramil Usubov also dwelt on the Presidential Decree on founding the “Fund for Strengthening Material and Technical and Social Basis of Interior Bodies of Azerbaijan Republic.” Her stressed that the Fund is financed from voluntary contributions by juridical and natural persons operating in the territory of the country, and that within a short period, a lot of companies, firms and individuals provided certain financial aid to the Fund.
The businessmen thanked the Minister for the warm and fruitful meeting and promised to further make every effort for development of the country’s economy, and to continue rendering financial support to the Fund for strengthening material and technical basis of the interior bodies.
