Iran-Azerbaijan relationship is ‘excellent’, Iranian Ambassador
Baku, June 8 (AZERTAC). “Iran-Azerbaijan relationship are perfect and has bright prospects for the future,” said Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakaein.
The Ambassador said forces attempting to harm bilateral ties between the two countries had failed.
He noted the presidents of the two countries had been wise enough to lead bilateral ties successfully.
“Our criteria for friendship with different countries is based on of the people’s opinion rather than political views of the several states and NGOs,” said the diplomat.
Noting that Iranian and Azerbaijani peoples have shared cultural roots, Mohsen Pakaein said Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev had attached huge importance to friendly relations with Iran.
He added the Republic of Azerbaijan had been continuing this policy successfully.
The Ambassador said Iran attached great importance to expanding relations with Azerbaijan.
He pointed out the implementation of the economic plans in this regard would yield its results gradually.
“We will witness further development of the bilateral ties between the two countries in the future,” the Ambassador noted.
