Italian delegation arrives in Azerbaijan
Baku, March 13 (AZERTAC). An Italian delegation led by president of Friuli-Venezia Giulia region Debora Serracchiani has embarked on a visit to Azerbaijan.
Initiated by Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Rome, the visit is aimed at building cooperation between the country and the region on institutional and business levels, and developing the existing relations.
The visit will see Ms. Serracchiani have meetings with Azerbaijani state and government officials.
The Italian delegation includes presidents of Udine and Pordenone chambers of commerce and industry, and businessmen from a wide range of fields, including mechanical engineering, chemical industry, furniture production, and construction.
Friuli-Venezia Giulia is one of the most developed regions of northern Italy. The economy of the region is based on small and medium size industries, on specialized agriculture, on a high-quality tourism industry and a strong tendency to export.
