Italian Il Tepmo newspaper issues article about Baku
Rome, March 3 (AZERTAC). Italian Il Tepmo newspaper has issued an article praising the Azerbaijani capital Baku`s “dynamic development”.
The article calls Azerbaijan “a wonderful land combining magic atmosphere of the East with modernity of the West”.
The newspaper says Azerbaijan has made big progress thanks to oil revenues after regaining its independence in the early 1990s. “With its steady development, Azerbaijan has earned a unique reputation in Europe as well as on the global scale.”
The article lauds the Azerbaijani government`s attention to developing all areas, particularly tourism sector. “The progress of tourism sector is obvious in every region of the country. Many attractions have been created for tourists in the last few years. Newly built state-of-the-art hotels please the eye.”
It touches upon Azerbaijan-Italy relations: “Azerbaijan attaches a particular importance to its ties with Italy in the tourism sector. Italy is Azerbaijan’s largest trade partner.”
The article mentions some of Baku`s landmarks, including Old City, Maiden Tower, Flame Towers, and Heydar Aliyev Center.
The newspaper also highlights upcoming Baku-2015 European Games.
