January issue of Caspian World magazine published

Baku, January 24 (AZERTAC). The Caspian World magazine of the Istanbul-based think tank Caspian Strategy Institute (HASEN) has published its January issue.

The magazine starts with an article titled “Caspian era begins in energy and transport sector”, which covers the Caspian Forum held in Istanbul on December 4-5. The article hails the significance of the forum, organized by HASEN, SOCAR, BP and TPAO companies, saying it has a constructive impact on regional energy and communication projects.

The magazine notes that Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Trans-Anadolu (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatik (TAP) projects, realized under Azerbaijan`s leadership, will play an important role in Europe`s energy security. “The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will make the Caspian region a center of energy and communication lines.”

The magazine highlights President Ilham Aliyev`s being honored with the Caspian Statesman of the Year Award.

The article also quotes speeches by Azerbaijan`s transportation minister Ziya Mammadov and Executive Director of SOFAZ Shahmar Movsumov at the forum.
