Japanese Embassy in Azerbaijan constructs Water Supply System in Dashkasan`s Gushchu village
Baku, October 3 (AZERTAC). The opening ceremony of the Water Supply System in Gushchu village of Dashkasan region will be held on October 4. Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Shusuke Watanabe and head of the Dashkasan Executive Authorities Ahad Abiyev are expected to participate in the ceremony.
The project aims to construct water supply system in Gushchu village in order to improve water provision for the residents of the village. The total amount of the Japanese Grant Assistance for the said project is 119.816 USD.
“Grassroots and human security grant assistance programme” support projects applied by municipalities, medical institutions, and NGOs, aiming directly at the improvement of living standards of Azerbaijani people. Such projects might be implemented in the field of poverty reduction, social protection, infrastructure, public health and increase of incomes. The total number of projects contracted in Azerbaijan including this time is 170, and the amount is 13,733,902 USD.
