Japanese tennis player stomps over anyone she faces
Baku, July 23 (AZERTAC). The first match of the "Baku Cup 2014" 1/8 finals has taken place.
Japanese tennis player Misa Eguchi played against Polish player Urszula Radwanska at the game that took place in the centre court of the Baku Tennis Academy (BTA).
Eguchi had proven how mighty she was when she won two matches in the qualifying rounds and moved onto to the 1/16 finals, where she defeated Slovakian player Magdalena Rybarikova.
The Japanese tennis player, who is ranked number 183 in the world, played a magnificent match against her rival, ranked 117, in the 1/8 finals.
Eguchi, who used tough and smart shots to put her rival in a difficult situation, won the first set by 6:2 and the second by 6:1. Thus, Eguchi, who won her fourth victory in the tournament, managed to move on to the 1/4 finals. Her next rival will be the winner of the Katarzyna Piter (POL) - Bojana Jovanovski (SRB) match.
