KHAZARDENIZNEFTGASTIKINTI MAKES HEADWAY IN GAS PIPELINES CONSTRUCTION

According to the Azneft production enterprise, Khazardenizneftgastikinti trust has successfully completed the construction of the 12.2-km gas pipeline, which is the part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum pipeline. The pipeline will ensure gas-supply to Georgia.

The constructors continue successfully to lay the 9,6 km section of the Mozdok-Gazimagomed gas pipeline to bypass the Takhta reservoir. The object is scheduled to come on stream in May, 2007.

The trust is also responsible for construction of the 4.6-km pipeline transporting the Azerbaijan’s share of gas from the Shahdeniz field to the Sangachal Terminal and onward to the Azerigas system for domestic use. The pipeline is expected to enter service within short time.
