KOFI ANNAN CALLS CYPRIOTES TO REFERENDUM

The UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan called on the Greek and Turkish communities of Cyprus to vote for unification of the island at the April 24 referendum.

Koffi Annan attracted the Greek and Turkish communities of Cyprus to negotiations being held in Geneva. He urged Cypriotes not to miss this “historical chance” and support the UN plan to found a federal state based on Swiss model.
