Kyrgyz radio interviews Azerbaijani Ambassador on 20 January and Khojaly tragedies
Bishkek, February 5 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hidayat Orujov gave an interview about 20 January and Khojaly tragedies to Manas Fm radio.
In the program called “Friendship Bridge”, which is broadcasted in the Azerbaijani language, Orujov noted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO’s goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva care about the social problems of the victims of these tragedies. He also added that recognition of the Bloody January tragedy and the Khojaly genocide by the international community is on the constant attention of the Azerbaijani President and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva.
In his interview, the Azerbaijani diplomat clarified the reasons of the 20 January tragedy.
Hidayat Orujov also spoke of the Khojaly tragedy and efforts of the Azerbaijani government for its international recognition. He pointed out that the Justice for Khojaly international campaign was launched at the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, general coordinator for intercultural dialogue of the Islamic Cooperation Organization Youth Forum Leyla Aliyeva. Azerbaijan`s diplomatic missions in foreign countries conduct awareness-raising campaigns as part of the Justice for Khojaly. So far, the Khojaly tragedy was recognized as genocide by more than 10 states of United States and various countries.
