LORD AHMED VISITS BAKU STATE UNIVERSITY
Lord Nazir Ahmed, Britain’s only Pakistani member of the House of Lords, has visited the Baku State University to meet with its teaching staff and students.
The University’s pro rector Nargiz Pashayeva informed the guest about the progress achieved in Azerbaijan’s education system.
Mrs. Pashayeva stressed the importance of Mr. Ahmed’s current visit to Baku.
Lord Nazir Ahmed addressed the meeting participants on the topic “Dialogue and peace on the basis of justice: is the word ready for this?”.
Speaking on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, Lord Nazir Ahmed stressed Azerbaijani refugees who fled from their homeland after Armenian invasion, have a right to return to their homes.
