Minister of Education Misir Mardanov met with chief of education department of Istanbul Omur Balibey.

During the meeting, the Minister told of historical roots between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Besides, he stressed the importance of presence of history, culture and literature of both countries in secondary schools’ curriculums giving an in-depth knowledge to schoolchildren.

Chief of Education Department of Istanbul Omur Balibey stressed the possibility of teaching of history, literature and geography of Azerbaijan in the Turkish schools.

At the meeting, Misir Mardanov handed over books on history and culture in Azerbaijani to the guest.
