MEETING IN THE CABINET OF MINISTERS
On 27 March, the Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh met the Defense Minister of Kirghizia Lieutenant General Ismayil Isakov. The Azerbaijani Prime Minister emphasized that there are historical ties between Azerbaijan and Kirghizia. Touching upon the importance of further increase of the effectiveness in the work of different structures for the deepening of bilateral mutually advantageous cooperation, Prime Minister pointed out the global energy and transport projects achieved in the region. Talking about Armenia- Azerbaijan, Nagorno- Karabakh conflict, Artur Rasizadeh said that the aggressive policy of Armenia brought heavy disasters to Azerbaijan. “20 percent of territory has been occupied and about one million Azerbaijanis became refugees. Our country attempts to solve this problem peacefully, on the basis of international law. However, Azerbaijan has the right to restore its territorial integrity by using all accessible means,” prime minister stated. The Defense Minister of Kirghizia informed about his negotiations and meetings in Baku in detail, directed to strengthening of cooperation between the military departments of the two countries. I. Isakov noted that Kirghizia supports the aspirations of Azerbaijan in the solution of Armenia- Azerbaijan, Nagorno- Karabakh conflict, being guided by the international law. The visitor also recalled that when he was the head of the committee on the state security of the parliament of Kirghizia, he has voted against the conclusion of a contract about the deliveries of arms into Armenia. Other questions of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
