MINISTER OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF AZERBAIJAN VISITED MOLDOVA
At the international airport, the Azerbaijani minister and his entourage were greeted by our diplomats working in Moldova, chairman of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Moldova (CAM) M. Ismayilov and other officials.
The same day, the President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin received Farhad Aliyev.
Minister has conveyed to the President of Moldova warm greetings of the head of Azerbaijani state Ilham Aliyev.
In turn, the head of Moldova asked Farhad Aliyev to pass the best regards to President Ilham Aliyev.
During the meeting passed in warm, friendly conditions, discussed were a ranger of questions, first of all in the economic sphere, representing mutual interest. In particular, during negotiations focused were questions of synchronization of efforts of both countries in trade and economic area, activity of the Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova.
Then, minister of economic development of Azerbaijan has visited a number of industrial objects of Kishinev.
In second half of day, minister Farhad Aliyev has met minister of the industry of Moldova Michael Garshtia and Minister of Economics Marian Lupu.
During the meetings, ministers have discussed some questions of bilateral cooperation, including in agrarian sector.
