MINISTERS OF EDUCATION OF AZERBAIJAN AND TURKEY EXPAND RELATIONS
The Turkish delegation also visited the Alley of Martyrs to revere the sons, who gave their lives for independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and laid wreath on ‘Eternal Fire’ memorial complex. They also laid wreath to the monument of Turkish soldier.
The guests were accompanied by Azerbaijani Minister of Education Misir Mardanov and Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Turan Morali.

The same day, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov met with his Turkish counterpart Huseyn Chelik and his accompanying delegation. Mr. Mardanov gave detailed information on reforms being implemented in the field of education. Today, about 4 thousand Turkish students study at the Universities of Azerbaijan. Moreover, 1500 Azerbaijani students study at the Universities of Turkey, most of whom are sponsored by the Turkish government. In general, 12 Turkish lyceums were opened in different regions of Azerbaijan, Minister said.
Mr. Chelik, in his turn thanked for a warm reception and stressed the need to enhance the cooperation between the two Education Ministers.
In conclusion, the Ministers responded from the journalists' questions. Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Turan Mmorali attended the meeting.
