MOLDOVA KEEN IN DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONS WITH AZERBAIJAN
Prime Minister of Moldova Vasile Tarlev now visiting Azerbaijan on 23 February visited Milli Majlis of the Republic. Premier of Moldova and his entourage familiarized with the meeting hall of the Parliament, after which Mr. Vasile Tarlev met with Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Ogyay Asadov.
At the large meeting in presence of delegations of both sides, Speaker Ogtay Asadov noted diverse development of relations between the two countries. The heads of state have special role in current state of relations, he stressed. At his words, the documents signed during mutual visits of the officials of both countries have set a solid legal base for cooperation. So, the parliamentarians also take the same position in international events and efficiently cooperate in the framework of GUAM.
Visit of the Prime Minister of Moldova will give new impetus to the relations of two the countries, Speaker Asadov emphasized.
Ogtay Asadov updated on the situation in the country, reminding that both countries suffer from separatism and expressed hope for the conflicts to be solved on the principles of international law.
Premier of Moldova expressed gratitude for hospitality and detailed information provided, noting his visit as successful. Moldova attaches great significance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan. The Moldavian Premier expressed satisfaction with the conclusions of his visit, saying the signed inter-governmental documents would create larger opportunities for cooperation in the years to come.
