Moroccan newspaper features Azerbaijan`s economy
Rabat, March 3 (AZERTAC). Moroccan newspaper Al-Islah wa at-Tanmiya has published an article on the economic development in Azerbaijan.
The article provided information about Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatic (TAP) gas pipeline , which will carry gas from Azerbaijan`s Shahdeniz oil and gas field.
The author touched upon Azerbaijani Foreign Elmar Mammadyarov`s visit to Iraq and discussions on Baghdad`s possible participation in the TANAP and TAP projects.
It stressed Azerbaijan has transformed from a country seeking investment into the investor.
The article highlighted the role of the Contract of the Century signed in September 1994 in Baku, successful implementation of the new oil strategy and development of the non-oil sector thanks to the oil revenues.
The author underscored the contribution of the State Oil Fund to ensuring transparency using oil revenues in Azerbaijan.
The article highlighted the economic and social reforms implemented in the country, saying poverty level was reduced to 7%, and investments in the economy reached $95 billion.
