Moscow hosts meeting of CIS defense ministers

The 71st meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS has been held in Moscow.
Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov represented Azerbaijan at the event.
Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, Secretariat of the Council of Defense Ministers, CIS Anti-Terrorism Centre and CIS Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of Border troops attended the meeting.
The Council approved the plan of joint action of the CIS military forces for 2017, reviewed the issues of participation of teams of the CIS countries’ military forces in International Army Games in 2016 and determined ways of developing military sports in the CIS member states military forces.
