Multilingual Hajj, Umrah terminology dictionary launched in Saudi Arabia

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has launched the Hajj and Umrah terminology dictionary during its participation in the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
This initiative aims to document and define terms related to Hajj and Umrah rituals, enhancing global awareness and facilitating communication among pilgrims and Umrah performers from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
The dictionary, designed as a multilingual reference, includes Arabic, English, Turkish, Urdu, Persian, French, and Malay terms. It seeks to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps by spreading knowledge of Hajj and Umrah rituals among Islamic communities and beyond, fostering greater understanding and connection between pilgrims of different languages.
The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language continues its mission to preserve the integrity and identity of the Arabic language. Through various initiatives, programs, and projects, the academy promotes the correct pronunciation and writing of Arabic, while facilitating its teaching and learning both within the Kingdom and internationally.
