Nakhchivan, Adjara autonomous republics discuss prospects for cooperation
Baku, November 3 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has met Avtandil Beridze, the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic of Georgia.
According to the press service of the Supreme Assembly, Vasif Talibov noted relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Adjarian Autonomous Republic of Georgia have “historic and deep roots”, and hailed the development of the relations on the line of strategic partnership. He also praised ties between the autonomous republics in the fields of tourism, education, health, economy, trade and transport.
Vasif Talibov stressed the importance of development of the bilateral ties even further. He recalled his visit to the Adjarian Autonomous Republic last year, when he invited the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic to pay an official visit to Nakhchivan.
Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic Avtandil Beridze thanked for hospitality, and said the relations between Adjarian Autonomous Republic and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic have passed successive way of development and entered a new level. Beridze expressed confidence that the friendly relations and mutual cooperation between the two autonomous republics will be further expanded.
The two also exchanged views over the current state of and prospects for cooperation.
