New edition of English-language IRS-Heritage magazine highlights crucial historical events

A new edition of the English-language IRS-Heritage magazine, highlighting Azerbaijan’s crucial historical events and the cultural heritage, has been published.
The key topic of the new edition is an article marking the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress held in Baku in 1926. The article analyzes the importance of the congress as a major scientific and political platform where the development of Turkology, the integration of Turkic peoples and language policy were discussed. The author says the forum was attended not only by scientists, but also by representatives of the political leadership of that time, most of which were later subjected to repressions.
The new issue also published a series of articles on the history of the diplomatic mission of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in Tehran.
