Chairman of Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounts: Digitalization of public audit and use of AI in this sector are among key priorities

Digitalization of public audit, the use of artificial intelligence in this sector are among the key priorities, said Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts, as he met with a delegation led by Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group, who is on a visit to the country.
During the meeting, the Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts provided the detailed information about the institution's activities. He highlighted the institution’s achievements in the field of external state financial control in the country over the past period.
Touching upon the institution's international collaboration and its role in the community of supreme audit institutions, Vugar Gulmammadov also briefed the delegation on the Chamber’s new Strategic Plan.
The Chairman underlined that digitalization of public audit, application of AI in this area, and use of data analytics tools are among the key priorities.
Muhammad Al Jasser highlighted the Bank’s activity, the projects implemented by the Bank, as well as its cooperation with Azerbaijan. He emphasized that the bank's operations align with the priorities of its member states, particularly noting the objectives set for Azerbaijan.
The sides also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Development Bank.
