Chairman of America - Azerbaijan Society in the United States Tomris Azeri and active member of Azerbaijan Diaspora in Istanbul Ibrahim khan Khoysky held a press conference at the State Committee on Working with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, April 1, AzerTAj correspondent reports. Tomris Azeri, the granddaughter of one of founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first Chairman of National Security Committee Nagi Sheykzamanli, noted that the goal of her visit to Motherland was to participate in ceremonies on the occasion of the 85th jubilee of national security bodies of Azerbaijan, as well as signing protocol on twin-cities of Ganja and Newark. Similar documents between other cities of Azerbaijan and USA are expected to be signed in the near future.

Introducing himself, Ibrahim khan Khoyski noted that his father Adil is brother of Fatali khan Khoyski, and mother Mahrukh khanum is a granddaughter of Javad khan of Ganja. According to him, he arrived in Azerbaijan to see Motherland. Both guests told with satisfaction on the work carried out in country in the field of consolidation of the Azerbaijanis. They particularly stressed the invaluable merits of national leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in development of Azerbaijan Diaspora, and appreciated successful continuation of this tradition by the President Ilham Aliyev.
