‘NORWAY HAILS DEMOCRATIC AND LEGAL REFORMS IN AZERBAIJAN’
Norway’s Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store said his country closely watches ongoing processes in Azerbaijan and praises its democratic and legal reforms.
Speaking to journalists in Baku, the Norwegian FM said Azerbaijan has been rapidly developing since joining the OSCE and the Council of Europe, and today has considerable achievements in the fields of human rights, democracy and economy.
According to him, the international community is closely watching processes going in the Southern Caucasian countries.
“International observers have sharply condemned the outcomes of recent presidential elections in Georgia and Armenia. And now, the world`s attention is on Azerbaijan.
I consider that the Azerbaijani government will hold free, democratic and transparent presidential election”, said the Minister.
Jonas Gahr Store highly appreciated pre-election situation in Azerbaijan.
