An event marking the Novruz holiday was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Malaysia.
During the event, attended by Azerbaijanis living and studying in Malaysia, Ambassador Irfan Davudov emphasized that the Novruz holiday embodies the arrival of spring and renewal. In this context, he drew attention to the large-scale reconstruction and restoration efforts carried out in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, which are bringing revival and new life to those regions.
The ambassador highlighted the role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s far-sighted policy in bringing peace to the region, as well as President Ilham Aliyev’s political will and leadership in its implementation. He stated that Azerbaijan remains committed to contributing to sustainable peace and development processes in the region and the world.
Ambassador Davudov noted that, despite the complex situation in the region, Azerbaijan is celebrating the Novruz holiday in an atmosphere of security and stability.
As part of the holiday program, traditional Novruz attributes such as semeni (sprouted wheat), candles, and national decorative elements were displayed. Guests were treated to samples of Azerbaijani national cuisine and Novruz sweets served with tea.
