Nowruz holiday celebrated in UN Office in Vienna
Vienna, March 26 (AZERTAC). A celebrative event has been organized in the United Nations Office in Vienna to mark Nowruz holiday.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Addressing the event, permanent representatives of the five countries at the UN highlighted the history of Nowruz holiday.
They noted that International Nowruz Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly, in its resolution A/RES/64/253 of 2010.
Material on Azerbaijan was distributed among the event participants.
