Number of people diagnosed with diabetes in Azerbaijan revealed

The number of people diagnosed with diabetes in Azerbaijan in 2014 is 25,152, the country's State Statistics Committee has announced. According to official figures, 21,381 diabetics are insulin-independent, while 3,576 are insulin-dependent. The new figures show a rise in people with diabetes seen in Azerbaijan over the last years. Some 5,792 adults were diagnosed with diabetes n Azerbaijan in 2000, the State Statistics Committee said.
