OFFICIALS OF AZERBAIJANI AND RUSSIAN CUSTOMS SERVICES MEET IN BAKU
A meeting between officials of the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic and Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation has today held in Baku.
Speaking at the event, Asgar Abdullayev, Vice-Chairman of the State Customs Committee said the agreement to fight smuggling and violation of customs regulations achieved last year between Customs Services of Azerbaijan and Russia has successfully been implementing in his country.
Attending the meeting, Igor Zavrazhnov, deputy head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between Customs Services of Azerbaijan and Russia.
He said according to the last year’s agreement two meetings have to be held a year between officials of the two countries’ Customs Services.
The sides also discussed the current state and perspectives of cooperation between Azerbaijani and Russian Customs Services in the meeting.

The same day, Aydin Aliyev, Chairman of the State Customs Committee received the Russian delegation.
Expressing his satisfaction with the meeting, Mr. Aliyev spoke about expanding relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in all spheres, including customs services.
The visit of the Russian delegation will last until April 11.
