OIL & GAS PRODUCTION TO BE INCREASED
Oil production is planned to be reached 15,45 mln tons in Azerbaijan, in 2004, exceeding current production by 50 thousand tons.
8,75 mln tons will be produced from offshore and onshore fields, the rest 6,7 mln tons by Azerbaijan International Operating Company / AIOC/ from the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” fields, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan reports.
9,2 mln tons of oil will be exported; 2,5 mln tons of SOCAR’s export oil will be transported outside the Republic via Baku-Novorossiysk northern pipeline; 6,7 mln tons produced by AIOC from “Chirag” field through the “Baku-Supsa” western pipeline.
