Azerbaijan Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova met with special envoy of the Council of Europe Secretary General to Azerbaijan Denis Bribosia.

Mrs. Suleymanova noted that after gaining its independence, Azerbaijan was integrated to Europe, became the full member of the Council of Europe - one of the world authoritative organizations. For today, Azerbaijan has joined to over 3 documents of this structure, she said.

Mr. Bribosia, in his turn, highlighted that COE keens in fulfillment by Azerbaijan of its engagements.

The sides have also discussed the issues of freedom of press, right of choice, fighting corruption and justice.
