Polish ambassador makes presentation at Azerbaijan University of Languages

Baku, November 20 (AZERTAC). Polish ambassador Michal Labenda has made a presentation on “Eastern partnership” at the Azerbaijan University of Languages.

The presentation was heard by dean of the faculty of Regional studies and International Relations Anar Nagiyev and students of the university.

Nagiyev stressed the importance of the event, saying “such presentations are very important in terms of preparing future diplomats”.

The Ambassador’s presentation, which was in Azerbaijani, highlighted political cooperation, intercourse between the peoples, simplification of visa regime, new conditions for economic relations and political integration.

The ambassador also spoke of the activities of the Eastern Partnership Youth Network. He said 252,000 people attended the Erasmus Mundus Program 2009-2013 who studied at nearly 1000 universities in 28 countries. He said 230 Azerbaijani students attended the program in 2010-2012.

The Ambassador also highlighted scholarship programs in Poland.

The event also featured a question-and-answer session with Ambassador Labenda.
