PRESENTATION OF KAMAL ABDULLAH’S NOVEL TAKES PLACE IN MOSCOW
The April issue of “Foreign Literature” magazine included a story devoted to the presentation of famous Azerbaijani writer and playwright Kamal Abdullah’s novel “Incomplete manuscript”, which took place at the office of the magazine.
Foreign including Russian publications frequently refer to the creative work of Kamal Abdullah, one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijani modern literature, writer and playwright. The peak of his creative activity dates back to the period of Azerbaijan’s revival after regaining its independence.
For example, extracts from the new collected essays “Disconsolate Wanderer” by K. Abdullah have been recently published in the “Literaturnaya Gazeta” (Literary Newspaper).
Kamal Abdullah is the only writer in the post-soviet area whose creative work drew the attention of the magazine.
According to the participants of the presentation, “Incomplete Manuscript” is one of the most remarkable phenomena of the modern literature.
“Incomplete Manuscript” received “Umai” award and was named “the best book of the year” as a result of the poll conducted by the “525-ji gazet” (525th newspaper). The novel was translated into Russian, French and Turkish languages. It is also going to be published in German, English and Japanese.
