PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ARRIVES IN SHAMAKHI

President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva arrived today in Shamakhi province, where they were warmly welcomed by local residents.

The President attended the ceremony of laying foundation stone for a Medical and Diagnostic Center, which will be the tenth such center across the country.

President of the State Oil Company Rovnaq Abdullayev informed President Ilham Aliyev that the Center will occupy an area of 1.5 hectares, and the construction, whose estimated cost is 5 million AZN, is expected to take a year to be complete.

The Head of State placed a time-capsule into the foundation and filled it with liquid concrete marking the formal start of the construction.

President Ilham Aliyev then had a warm conversation with Shamakhi residents.
