PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV CONGRATULATES AZERBAIJAN PEOPLE ON GURBAN BAYRAM
“Dear compatriots!
I cordially congratulate you and extend the kindest wishes on the occasion of sacred Gurban Bayram, marked as day of equality, humanism and solidarity of Moslems of the world.
Ceremony of Gurban Bayram is significant with the fact that the Islam instilling in each person love for the Most High and obedience to Him, respect for high moral values, mercy and tolerance, was once and forever established and has been chosen as the way of truth for people. This blessed holiday embodies spiritual-moral unity of Moslems of entire world, love of the just and faithful people to the Most High, and also pleasure of readiness for any self-sacrifice in the name of justice.
Our people, devoted to the historical roots and national-cultural values, annually mark Gurban Bayram. Everywhere in the country, the people make ceremonies of sacrifice in the name of the Most High, conduct wide charitable work, and pray in the name of calmness and welfare of our state. On this holy day, joining your celebratory wishes, with greater respect I pay tribute to immortal memory of our victims, who fell for national independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and wish their family patience and fortitude.
The independent Republic of Azerbaijan has already entered the stage of all-around development. National-cultural revival of our people, steady political-economical progress of the state is one of the major purposes of strategy of the development defined by the nationwide leader, the architect of our state independence Heydar Aliyev. We shall be always true to this line, having strengthened the political stability, national-spiritual solidarity in our society, ensure further accomplishments in Azerbaijan.
