PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV CONGRATULATES WOMEN OF AZERBAIJAN ON INTERNATIONAL WOMAN’S DAY
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a message to the women of the country to congratulate them on the International Woman’s Day, yearly marked on March 8.
“The women of Azerbaijan, who, in the last century, achieved tremendous successes in ensuring their rights, today are actively involved in socio-political, economic and cultural life of our country.
They contribute greatly to solving the national problems of vital importance. Their deserved role in the process of state building has turned this holiday into a holiday of our nation and society consolidated around the idea of independence. The progress achieved by the women of Azerbaijan in science, education, culture, healthcare and other fields, is an indication of their great potential,” the President said in the message.
He expressed hope that the women of Azerbaijan will continue to make efforts to bring up the young generations in the spirit of love for Motherland, and devotion to national statehood and ideology of Azerbaijanism.
