PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV INAUGURATES TRAIN FERRY NAMED AFTER ACADEMICIAN ZARIFA ALIYEVA

Chairman of the State Caspian Shipping Company Aydin Bashirov informed the President that the ferry was built at the Ulyanik shipyard in Croatia and is designed to carry railway carriages between Aktau and Turkmenbashi ports.
The boat is equipped with modern navigation equipment.
It is 154.5 meters in length and 17.5 meters in width.
The ferry`s carrying capacity is 5,985 tons, and 52 railroad cars can be loaded on it at once.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed the boat`s rooms, including the captain`s bridge and Zarifa Aliyeva Memorial Museum.
The President then pushed the start button officially inaugurating the train ferry, and wished successes to its crew members.
