PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS CRSO OF MICROSOFT CRAIG MUNDIE
Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev met Friday with Chief Research and Strategy Officer of Microsoft Craig Mundie in Davos, Switzerland.
Ilham Aliyev and Craig Mundie discussed an agreement on strategic partnership the Azerbaijani government and Microsoft will sign this spring. The agreement provides for taking measures towards strengthening the protection of intellectual property in Azerbaijan and Microsoft`s implementing investment projects in the country.
Craig Mundie said Microsoft plans to create an electronic information center in Azerbaijan.
Ilham Aliyev and Craig Mundie exchanged views on Microsoft`s plans to assist Azerbaijan in becoming a regional transit information center.
The Azerbaijani leader pointed to his country`s economic development, including in energy sphere.
President Ilham Aliyev noted Azerbaijan places particular emphasis on boosting non-oil sector where he said the development of information and communication technologies is the highest priority.
He said he believes Azerbaijan and Microsoft will continue their close cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.
