PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS WITH CHAIRMAN OF TAJIK MILLI MAJLIS

He highly assessed Ilham Aliyev’s official visit, and expressed confidence that it will open a new chapter in the cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking of the development of the Tajik economy, poverty reduction efforts, M Ubaydulloyev said that Tajikistan is pleased to see development process in Azerbaijan. According to him, regional development program is being successfully implemented in
Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan is set to benefit from this experience. On the interparliamentary cooperation, he pointed out that Tajikistan-Azerbaijan friendship group was created in the Milli Majlis of Tajikistan to deepen the cooperation.

The Head of State noted that there is an enormous potential for expanding cooperation between the countries. According to Azerbaijani Leader, both nations have similarities in the culture and history, and all these factors establish groundwork for the new cooperation.
The Head of State stressed that this visit will mark a new era in bilateral ties. He said both sides came to an agreement to stage reciprocal Days of Culture.
President Ilham Aliyev also told of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan, and its dire consequences, and revealed Azerbaijan’s stance towards peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
