PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES COMMANDER OF TURKISH ARMY ILKER BASBUG
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a military delegation of Turkey led by Army Commander Ilker Basbug, March 6.
The President described the current Azerbaijan-Turkey relationship as rapidly developing.
Noting that cooperation between the two countries is very successful in all fields, including the military one, he expressed confidence in its further enhancement.
The Head of State stressed the great importance of the Azerbaijan-Turkey cooperation, including the countries’ joint implementation of the large-scale international projects, for the whole region.
Ilker Basbug conveyed to President Ilham Aliyev greetings from his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
He said it is his second visit to Azerbaijan the goal of which, is to get acquainted with the course of army building in the country, and to discuss the prospects of bilateral military cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev, for his part, asked Ilker Basbug to convey his greetings to the President of Turkey.
