PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES DELEGATION OF TURKEY’S MARMARA GROUP FOUNDATION
The President highly praised activities of the Marmara Group Foundation towards enhancement of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, saying they strengthen bonds between the two countries.
“At all times, Azerbaijan-Turkey relations have been based on brotherhood and friendship,” he said.
“The current development of Azerbaijan is converting it into a very powerful country. Our participation in economic and political processes taking place in the region increases the importance of Azerbaijan,” President Aliyev said.
“No doubt that the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum oil and gas pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway projects are the factors increasing the influence of Azerbaijan and Turkey in both region and Europe,” the Azeri leader said.
“Therefore, the Turkey-Azerbaijan alliance is strengthening its impact on the global processes,” the President said.
Head of the Marmara Group Foundation Akkan Suver pointed out the efforts his organization takes at various international events towards informing the global community about realities of Azerbaijan, in particular, the aggressive and non-constructive stance of Armenians in the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He expressed gratitude to the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan for the supporting letter to the French Parliament in connection with the so-called “Armenian genocide.”
“Our strength is in our unity,” President Ilham Aliyev said in turn.
“The today’s rapid development of our country is making Azerbaijan’s position in the international arena stronger, thereby growing our capabilities to support the fraternal country,” he said.
Afterwards, members of the Turkish delegation informed the President on their trip to Nakhchivan.
