PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES DIRECTOR GENERAL OF “RIA NOVOSTI” SVETLANA MIRANYUK
Svetlana Miranyuk presented the President with an album of photographs depicting life and activities of the national leader of the Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev. She said they came to Azerbaijan to gather information about developments in the country, its achievement and problems, to further spread it in Russia and far beyond its borders. Mrs. Miranyuk noted that the agency has great plans for cooperation with Azerbaijan, and will take concrete steps to have them realized. “We seek to expand our cooperation with Azerbaijan and achieve the higher level of information exchange with the country,” she said.
President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the importance of information exchange between Azerbaijan and Russia. He expressed hope that RIA Novosti’s cooperation with Azerbaijan will create additional opportunities for the Russian public to be closer acquainted with developments taking place in the country.
