PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV TOURS MASALLY AND JALILABAD REGIONS
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Masally region where he attended the inauguration of the Olympic sport complex on April 9. The ceremony also attended by President of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey and his spouse was opened by head of the Masally Executive Power Gazanfar Agayev.
The event was addressed by member of the Azerbaijan national junior volleyball team Shafag Karimova and head of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey.
President Ilham Aliyev delivered a speech at the ceremony.
Upon completion of the ceremony, the President familiarized himself with the arch constructed at the entrance to the city of Masally. The arch is the starting point of the 2.5-km Heydar Aliyev Avenue. The thoroughfare was completely reconstructed. The Head of State was updated on the municipal improvements in the Masally region, measures to create new production spheres here and solve social problems under the state program on the socio-economic development of regions.Then, President Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Jalilabad region. Here, he familiarized himself with reconstruction of the bus station. The building constructed in 1982 will be overhauled and put into operation within the next two months. Azerbaijani Leader also visited the construction site of the Heydar Aliyev Park in Jalilabad. President had a conversation with the elderly here.
