PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV VISITS “AZKOMPOZIT” PIPE-MAKING PLANT
The area where the plant is now located was privatized by the winner of the investment contest – Sumgaitsenayeistehsalzavodu joint-stock company. AZN 15 million were spent on the reconstruction of the plant. The plant produces 500 meters of pipes every day. This figure is expected to reach 1000 in the future. The plant currently employs 150 people. The plant is going to make oil and water tanks in the future. As the only one in the Caucasus, the plant will be one of the biggest in the world in terms of the production capacity.
President Ilham Aliyev toured the plant’s facilities. The Head of State got familiarized with the production process, saying that pipes will be manufactured in Azerbaijan from now on, with no money to be spent to buy them from abroad. According to him, the pipes may be exported to other countries in the future with the demand for the pipes of various dimensions growing.
President Ilham Aliyev pressed the button of the computer, symbolically launching the enterprise.
