PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV VISITS NAFTALAN HEALTH AND RECREATION CENTER
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Naftalan Health and Recreation Center on Monday.
The President was informed that the center was put into operation in May 2005, national leader Heydar Aliyev`s birthday. The center is consisted of two buildings. It employs 67 medical workers. Oil from the spas is claimed to be an effective treatment against psoriasis, arthritis and rheumatism, gynaecological disorders and other diseases.
President Ilham Aliyev toured facilities here and familiarized himself with the modern medical equipment. He had a conversation with those who came here from Moscow and Poland. They said they regularly come here for treatment and examination, which are up to the world standards.
The Head of State stressed that Naftalan is the only place in the world which has petroleum spas.

After completing his visit to Naftalan, President Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Samukh region on March 3.
The Head of State first visited the Samukh Martyr’s memorial complex and Heydar Aliyev Park.
President Aliyev laid flowers at the complex to pay tribute to Samukh residents who were killed for the territorial independence of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva visited the monument to national leader in the park and laid flowers at it.
The Head of State had a conversation with the representatives of the public in the park.
The President familiarized himself with the Heydar Aliyev Museum in Samukh.
President Ilham Aliyev also attended the inauguration of the chess school.
He visited the fruit and fruit-vegetable storehouses belonging to Az-Rus Dostlug joint-stock company and Universal NAA LLC.
