PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV VISITS NOHURGISHLAG SECONDARY SCHOOL and GABALA BRICKWORKS
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Ilham Abdulkarimov secondary school of Nohurgishlag village on March 2. Principal of the school Safar Safarov said the school was built in 1936. Construction of a new building began in the second half of 2004 as a part of the state program on the socio-economic development of regions. The school was put into operation September 1, 2006. Three-storey school with 24 classrooms has been provided with computers, labs and other facilities. The school employs 72 teachers. Over 500 schoolchildren study there.

President said children have all conveniences to study here including computer rooms, equipment and other facilities. According the Head of State, the main point is that children must be well educated in order to develop Azerbaijan in the future.

President Ilham Aliyev visited on March 2 the Gabala Brickworks, which belongs to “Gilan Holding” Group of Companies.
The construction of the brickworks began in August 2004. The plant was put into service last year without the opening ceremony. As the President arrived here, the brickworks began to work at full capacity. The plant with the production capacity of 25-30 million bricks a year employs 120 people. Their average salary is 150-180 manats. The equipment was delivered from Ukraine and Russia. The bricks are produced here on the basis of technologies that have no analogues in the Caucasus. The produce is scheduled to be exported.
President Ilham Aliyev pressed the button launching the new production areas. The Head of State toured the facilities at the brickworks and had a conversation with the workers.
