PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN CONGRATULATED THE NATION ON NOVRUZ BAYRAM
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made his Novruz Bayram congratulations to the nation. He, in particular, said:
“Dear country-fellows,
I cordially congratulate you on this beloved holiday of our nation, Novruz Bayram, and wish each of you good spirits on this holiday.
This holiday closely connected with the laws of Universe, brightly demonstrates the ancient customs and traditions the ancestors left behind. Our nation has been welcoming the early spring with solemn rituals established for ages. This national holiday fully reflecting the rich moral world of our people is characterized by revival and renewal of nature. It imparts the sense of confidence in the days to come, instills superior feelings in the hearts, calling on the people for the good, mercy and compassion.
The people of Azerbaijan have always held high the Novruz Bayram with its huge national-spiritual strength, could preserve it in the most difficult and complicated period of history from alien influence and immortalized it in memories. Since the country’s independence was restored, this holiday has been officially celebrated. Celebration of this holiday everywhere in the country in high level is the result of state sovereignty.
On this landmark holiday, Azerbaijan’s economic accomplishments should be especially noted. The construction works widely launched in the Republic is evidence to renewal of both the nature and country’s economy. Economic revival in the country imparts high state of mind.
On this dear holiday, I extend my particular congratulations to the Azerbaijani soldier on guard of our lands. With deep consideration I remember the courageous sons who fell for territorial integrity of Motherland, and I pray for them.
Along with the citizens of independent Azerbaijan, our compatriots living in foreign countries also mark this holiday with great joy and delight. As a true symbol of solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the world, this holiday plays great role, bringing them closer to the Motherland.
On this dear holiday, I wish all of you health, happiness and luck.
