PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES WTF’S PRESIDENT
Greeting the guest, head of Azerbaijan state underlined that visit of president of the World Taekwondo Federation Mr. Chung Won Choue to the Republic would give a chance to familiarize with the development of sports, including taekvondo. Noting that Azerbaijan attaches a great importance to development of this kind of sports in the country, President Ilham Aliyev said that certain structures have been created for taekvondoists of the Republic, also stressed that a modern taekvondo hall has been commissioned in the October last year
Underlining that the Azerbaijani taekwondoists have close links with the Korean sportsmen, President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that his visit would promote future development of sports links of the Country.
President of the World Taekwondo Federation said that he is making his first visit to Azerbaijan after he has been elected to this post and expressed gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Republic for warm reception and hospitality. He said he would be pleased to meet President Ilham Aliyev in Athens and wished Azerbaijani taekwondoists success in the forthcoming games.
Minister of youth, sports and tourism Abulfaz Garayev, chairman of the state customs committee, president of Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation Kamaladdin Heydarov took part at the reception.
