PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN MEETS CHANCELLOR OF GERMANY
The same day, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Markel.In meeting, discussed were prospects of the existing relations between Germany and Azerbaijan, as well as with the European Union, economic accomplishments, successfully ongoing democratic reforms in society of Azerbaijan. The relations of cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU were estimated as high and noteworthy.
Parties noted the strengthening relations between the two countries and highly assessed the role of Azerbaijan in energy security of Europe. As reported, energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Europe was especially focused on and its future aspects with support of Germany emphasized.
In meeting, also discussed were issues of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, other regional and international problems.
