PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN ON CREATION OF CURRENCY UNION IN CIS FRAME
President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev in his interview to “Kazakhstan Pravda described setting up of single monetary space in CIS as objective and inevitable, AzerTAj correspondent reports from Almaati.
“I am sure that it is the demands of nowadays. Unless we, the CIS states carry out related work, we will fall under influence of foreign currency”, se said. Meanwhile, members of the Eurasian Economic Cooperation Organization – Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine - plan to transit to a single currency in 2007. Final decision will be adopted after normalization of the financial, economic, legislative terms ensuring stable development of the above-mentioned states.
