Romania hosts conference on "Azerbaijan - model of successful development"
Baku, November 21 (AZERTAC). The conference titled "Azerbaijan - model of successful development" supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been held at the Romanian-American University in Bucharest.
The conference was attended by leadership, teaching staff and students of Romanian-American University, representatives of Azerbaijan`s Embassy, SOCAR representation in Romania, members of the Azerbaijan-Romanian Youth and Cultural Association, the Azerbaijan-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce, the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, as well as members of the Azerbaijani and Turk-Tatar communities.
Rector of the University Ovidiu Folcut thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, especially President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention to the Romanian American University.
The Rector provided an insight into the activities of the Azerbaijan Researches Centre operating at the university and called students to be more active in collaboration with the center.
Head of the Romanian representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Igbal Hajiyev informed the event participants on the Azerbaijan`s history and culture, as well as the country`s economic development.
Speaking of the outstanding contributions of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Hajiyev briefed the conference participants on the activities of the Romanian representation of the Foundation.
Other speakers at the event included chairman of the Bucharest Writers Association Horia Girbea, adviser of the Azerbaijani Embassy to Romania Irfan Davudov, CEO of the SOCAR`s Romania Brunch Hamza Karimov, PhD Professor and vice-rector of the Romanian American University Florin Bonciu.
